Currently, traffic moves north on Highway 95 through Bonners Ferry, increases to 45 going up the North Hill at the north city limit, then to 55 about halfway up the hill heading toward Three Mile Junction. It stays at 55 miles per hour through the light at the Highway 95/2/Moon Shadow Road intersection and increases to 60 miles per hour in the area of The Gathering Place and Mountain View Mennonite Church.
The group is contemplating a proposal to ITD to retain the 45 mile-per-hour limit from where it begins now at the bottom of the North Hill north through Three Mile to the current point of the 60-mile-per hour limit.
Currently, traffic on Highway 2 is 45-miles-per-hour east through the predominately commercial area, increasing to 60 miles per hour about half to three-quarters of a mile east of the intersection.
Before proceeding, the group hopes to hear what you think, for or against and why. Comments can be mailed to 9B News, 6619 Kaniksu St., Rm 19, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, emailed to mike@test-8b1054.ingress-earth.ewp.live or by messenger on the 9B News Facebook page.
