Boundary County School District No. 101 is seeking the community’s opinion and are asking for feedback going forward into the changing years ahead. The district in the process of developing a five year strategic plan that includes community comment, and they’ve developed a survey they hope will be completed by many in our community so that the plan accurately reflects the idea and attitudes we consider important.

My opinion although very unpopular is you have to let the two satellite schools go. The School district can’t afford them and the community is not willing to pay for them. Then you have a levy to build a basic School and save $ by eliminating the satalite schools which the $ you receive from selling those properties goes toward the new School reducing the cost for property owners also save $ by keeping the one gym you have.
I have to agree with Mr. Newell….I grew up in a small town in Ia. and the school system there did exactly the same thing that Mr. Newell referred to. I can’t help but wonder why this school district wants to keep these satalite schools going when dollars are tight. Something to consider…..
