Sharlene Krohmer, lovingly known by many as “everyone’s grandma,” passed away peacefully this morning, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
“It’s with heavy heart that I announce that my Sharly K. got her Angel Wings this morning,” her beloved husband, Roy, posted to Facebook. “When I went up to see her she looked so at peace … She hasn’t looked like that for weeks. We have been a team for 57 years together and 54 years married. I will miss her so much. Thank you everyone for your love and support for her through this terrible disease … Much love to you all.”
She had a gift for making everyone feel special—especially the children she worked with at school, who were drawn to her caring heart and gentle nature.
Sharlene was a devoted and loving wife, the proud mother of two daughters, the cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, and a beloved great-grandmother. Her family was her world, and her love for them was unwavering.
If you ever heard a joyful, unmistakable laugh echo through a room, you knew Sharlene was near. Her laughter was as recognizable as her kindness — comforting, genuine, and full of life. It was just one of the many ways she brought happiness to those around her.
Sharlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but the love and joy she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless children whose lives she touched.
Oh Roy, I am so sorry to hear of Sharlene’s passing. But glad she is at peace and no more suffering. Thinking of you and the family!
Thank you Susan.
Grandma Shar was the meaning of our little town. The love she brought to all she came in contact with was unmatched. She never judged anyone’s situation, she found a way to make you feel like one of her kids. Her heart was so full of love and support to anyone and everyone. God gained an amazing angel. We love you so much Grandma Shar thank you for everything you did for all of us kiddos and our kiddos. You helped raise a whole town of amazing people. I hope you and Grandma Linda are having a blast reuniting up there in heaven. We will forever miss your smile, laugh and heart🩷

Roy my condolences. Sharly will be missed. I remember the good times we had as kids when she spent a week or two out at the farm during the summer. We had many adventures together. Got into a bit of trouble now and then also.
