Celebration of Life for Paul Wright

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Memorial Hall at the Boundary County Fairgrounds in Bonners Ferry for Paul Wright. Friends are welcome to come and join the family in celebrating and sharing memories of Paul.

Paul Madison Wright, June 30, 1941-December 13, 2024. He passed peacefully surrounded by his children Woody (Terri) Wright, Val Lethrud (Lakhan Singh) and Rocky (Sonia) Wright. He will be missed by his children, grandchildren Jacob, Stephanie, Charley, Preston, Raini, Benjamin, Austin and Wayne. 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, nephews and nieces as well as his many friends.

Paul was born in Lamesa, Texas to Olvin Floyd Wright and Winnie Earl Donnell. As a child, Paul and his brothers had many jobs to help the family out but, loved the summers when he would pick strawberries at local farms in Arkansas and sell them door to door in town for six cents a pint.

He was also a very talented carpenter; a trade he initially learned working with his father. One of his fondest memories was helping his dad work on the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs as an apprentice.

Paul is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he was a Jet engine mechanic from 1961-1965. After his service he went back to his love of carpentry, building and repairing many amazing homes in Aspen Colorado, and many of other places. He also enjoyed making very beautiful pieces of furniture.

Paul made his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1972 the first time, then returned in the 90’s. He was part of the Rod Benders car club helping organize the yearly car show, making trophy’s and loving the friends he met as he built his beautiful cars and his home here in Naples with Alice.

Paul is survived by his son Woody, Daughter Valarie and son Rocky, grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joan and Mildred, brothers Vance and Curtis, daughter Christie Diane, nephew Greg and his wife Alice.
