Free Avian Flu testing for fair foul this Wednesdsay

Free avian flu testing for open class poultry entries for the Boundary County Fair takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the fairgrounds indoor arena.

Avian Flu is a deadly viral disease that has decimated the commercial and private poultry business in recent years. To help mitigate the spread in our area and beyond, all fairs require an Avian Flu test.

This is a simple blood or swab test that is performed two weeks before our fair to make sure all our birds are free of Avian Flu. It is a required test for fair entry, so bring all your beautiful birds down and let’s show them off at fair!

You could be rewarded with a bag of feed from General Feed and Grain; one each will be awarded to the Top Hen and Top Rooster at the fair!
