Michael Wayne Stephens

Michael Wayne Stephens was born in Spokane, Washington, on April 7, 1947.  A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at Victory Faith, 2024 N Argonne Rd. Spokane Valley.

Raised in Moyie Springs and Bonners Ferry, Idaho, he graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1965.

He served proudly in the U.S. Navy as an electronics engineer aboard the USS Hornet immediately after high school graduation.

In 1969, Mike married the love of his life, Cecelia Holmes. Together, they raised two children; Rob and Michelle.

Mike’s career spanned engineering and international sales, notably at KeyTronic Corporation, and later through his own successful keyboard company, Mil-Key Corp.

A man of many passions, Mike was a ham radio operator, astrophotographer, motorcyclist, scuba diver and more, embracing life with boundless energy. He spent March and April in Belize for over 15 years, always seeking new adventures.

Above all, Mike treasured his grandchildren, Christine and Natalie Stephens and Cooper, Madi, Zander and Sofia Fox.

Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cecelia, his children Rob Stephens (Kelly) and Michelle Fox (Andy), and six grandchildren.
