Phillip Weaver raising funds for full time missions

Phillip Weaver – Missionary Flights International

UPDATE: Phillip Weaver will be leaving for Florida on Sunday, October 12, 2025, to begin his full-time volunteer work with Missionary Flights International. He has been blessed to have raised enough funds to get him started on this journey but is still in need of about $1000 per month in commitments to be fully funded.

His love for aviation began before he can even remember. As a young child, growing up in Trout Creek, Montana, Phillip Weaver enjoyed countless hours playing with remote control airplanes. Over the years, those airplanes got bigger and bigger, until one day, he found himself with, instead of a transmitter, a yoke and instead of a pilotless aircraft, a 25-passenger turbine-powered DC-3.

Phill carries high performance/complex and tailwheel endorsements, instrument rating, commercial rating and multi-engine commercial rating as well as an A&P or Airframe and powerplant license through the Federal Aviation Administration and has earned all of these, aside from the commercial rating, all right here in Bonners Ferry, Idaho at Northern Air, Inc.

Phill’s love for aviation collided with his love for the great commission in 2019 when he felt a calling from the Lord to join Missionary Flights International out of Fort Pierce, Florida. After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s will, Phill has committed to Missionary Flights International as a full-time volunteer pilot.

As a full-time volunteer pilot, he will be transporting, food, supplies and mail to remote areas and even delivering animals or flying for medical evacuations. Phill is ready, willing and able to do all that the Lord asks of him and all for the sake of the gospel.

Missionary Flights operates out of two hangers in Fort Pierce, Florida, flying turbine-powered DC-3s to meet the needs of over 600 missions in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas and wherever the Lord directs. About 350 tons of cargo and over 3,000 Christian workers are transported every year.

Like all Missionary Flights International volunteers, Phill is raising his own financial and prayer support to serve full-time. If you feel led to give or want to learn more about Missionary Flights International, visit Phillip Weaver – Missionary Flights.
