We are thrilled to announce that the Bonners Ferry High School Trapshooting Team, “Duke’s Claybusters,” took second place in the Idaho State High School Clay Target Leagues for the Fall 2025 season. The competition took place over the last five weeks across the state, with each school shooting at its home field. The Bonners Ferry Gun Club hosts the Claybusters.
Under the guidance of Coach Ron Campbell, The Duke’s Claybusters have shown remarkable growth. “This season has been about building our skills and coming together as a team,” Coach explained.
The Duke’s Claybusters are grateful for the support of our community, especially our Sponsors, JB’s Les Schwab Tire and North Idaho Energy Logs.
Some key highlights from the competition include:
- Trenton Myers tied for fifth overall and took fourth place in the conference.
- Gage Kunsky tied for seventh in the conference.
- For the girls, Randi Hibbard tied for tenth overall but took second in the conference.
- Throughout the season, several students accomplished perfect rounds: Joe hit 25/25 three times, Trenton and Gage each hit 25/25 twice.
“This accomplishment reflects our hard work and the incredible support from our families, coaches, and the Bonners Ferry community,” shared Joe Campbell. “We are honored to represent Bonners Ferry High and are excited to continue striving for greatness!”
