Confirmed Measles case in Boundary County

There is a confirmed case of measles in Boundary County.

From Panhandle Health District, Boundary Community Hospital and Boundary County School District:

Measles is a very contagious sickness that spreads easily from person to person. It can spread by air and direct contact or when someone coughs or sneezes.

The first signs of measles usually appear about one to two weeks after a person is exposed. They can feel like a bad cold.

If you or someone you know develops any of these symptoms, contact your primary care provider and the school nurse if your child is in school.
