Local hospital seeks quilt donations

Hospitals are often perceived to be cattle chutes, with one patient after another walking through the doors, maybe of the emergency department or maybe outpatient for one thing or another and then walking back out to go on with their lives.

This narrative is true for many, but not all. For some, the hospital is their home.

At Boundary Community Hospital, there is a demographic of folks that may not ever walk out those doors. The end of life is near, and any small comfort given can mean more than most may ever know.

Boundary Community Hospital staff are seeking donations of small but simple quilts for some of their hospice patients to enjoy in their last days.

If you have any you would like to donate, please reach out to Melanie at Boundary Community Hospital at Melanie.h@bcch.org.

  1. I would be honored to bring quilts to the hospital. I will call for a time to deliver them!
