The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a high wind watch for an area including Boundary County, in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
Sustained southwest winds of 25- to 45-miles-per-hour gusting to 60-miles-per-hour are expected, which could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
In areas with saturated soils from recent rainfall, trees and power lines could see higher impacts, especially with increased danger of mudslide.
