Idaho State Controller Brandon Woolf Responds to the 2026 State of the State Address

Idaho State Controller Brandon Woolf

Boise, Idaho – After Governor Brad Little gave his annual State-of-the-State Address today at the Idaho State Capitol, State Controller Brandon Woolf issued the following statement in support:

“Idaho is proof that good government is both responsible and transparent.

Today, Governor Little gave his annual state-of-the-state address. The Our Enduring Idaho plan is focused on a balanced budget without cutting public schools, while preserving what matters most to our state’s long-term well-being. He addressed tightening belts across state government, renegotiating contracts, reprioritizing initiatives, and using cash balances wisely. Idaho will keep its budget structurally sound, without passing the burden on to our families.

This same discipline is guiding our efforts at the State Controller’s Office as we continue to modernize state government. Our goal is to provide clear, real-time financial data to ensure accountability and efficiency for both leaders and taxpayers.

The results from my office speak for themselves: millions of payments processed, thousands of employees onboarded, and hundreds of improvements delivered — on time and without disruption.
Balanced budgets. Modern tools. Clear accountability.

Above all, as your State Controller, every decision I make is guided by a simple commitment: to serve the people of Idaho with integrity, transparency, and respect for every hard-earned taxpayer dollar.”
