IDFG setting season grizzly ed programs

Idaho Fish and Game has staff dedicated to raising awareness, providing education and support and resolving conflict in local communities relative to bears (grizzly and black) in the Panhandle, with emphasis on Boundary County.

Each year IDFG staff hosts and participates in a variety of events to provide training, resources and support for residents in local communities. From bear spray exchange to a remote-controlled bear for people to practice using bear spray, they offer it all!

Below is a current list of where they will be and when. We hope to see you at one of the events!

  • February 14 at the Kootenai Valley Sportsman Association Gun and Horn Show (Boundary County Fairgrounds)
  • March 7 at the Bonner County Sportsmen’s Association Gun and Horn Show (Bonner County Fairgrounds)
  • April 25 at the Bonners Ferry Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • May 23-24 at the Priest Lake Spring Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • May 30 at Round Lake State Park at 6 p.m.
  • June 13 at Indian Creek State Park at 6:30 p.m.
  • July 25 at Farragut State Park at 6 p.m.
  • August 1 at Indian Creek State Park at 6:30 p.m.
