Nancy Ann Taft

Nancy Ann Taft of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away at home on December 28, 2025.

She was born on June 24, 1947, to John and Mildred Taft, of Fir Island, WA. She was the sixth of eight children. She grew up on Fir Island, attending Conway Elementary School, and Mount Vernon High School, graduating in 1965.

Nancy spent most of her life living in Sedro-Woolley, where she had an embroidery business. She enjoyed chatting with her customers. She also liked to watch NASCAR races on tv, and going to Skagit Speedway every Saturday night to watch the races. Most of all though, she loved to read.

She spent a lot of her time crocheting, which she was very good at. She created beautiful sweaters, but she was most proud of a wedding dress she crocheted. Bring the creative person she was, she made greeting cards, sending them to anyone celebrating something special.

While living in Idaho, she volunteered at a shop called Second Chance.

Nancy is survived by two sisters, Mary Sloan and Ellen Taft. She is preceded in death by sisters Suzie Brenneman, Donna Thomsen, Sharon Robinson, and Sylvia Heerspink, and her brother John Taft. Also, many nieces and nephews.

The family wants to thank Levi and Sarah Falck for taking such good care of her. We appreciate it more than you will ever know. She loved you.

At Nancy’s request, there will be no service. To leave a message or memory for the family go to www.bonnersferryfuneralhome.com. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is caring for the family.
