Neal Warren Henslee April 18, 1951 – January 27, 2026
Neal Warren Henslee, 74, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Palmer, Alaska, in his favorite place to be-in the seat of his beloved tractor. Neal was born on April 18, 1951, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Vester Ellis Henslee and Myrna Lucille Parker, where farming and hard work were part of his roots-and remained in his blood for a lifetime.
On February 11, 1978, he married the love of his life, Jill Henslee, and together they shared nearly 48 years of marriage built on love, laughter, and devotion to family. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held many callings over the years. His faith was deeply important to him and guided the way he lived, served, and loved.
Neal dedicated over 30 years of service to the State of Alaska Department of Transportation, where he was respected for his
strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in his work. He will be remembered for his quick wit and canny sense of humor, his constant laughter. Neal was also an avid supporter of his local high school football team, never missing a game – and often driving all over the state to cheer them on.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jill Henslee; his children Jeneal, Sylvia, Seth, Sarah, William, and Samuel; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Neal’s legacy of love, humor, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
