Congratulations to Jon and April VanGesen as they celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary! They were married on February 19, 1994, in Seattle, and made their home in Port Orchard, Washington, until 2020.
In 2021, they moved to Idaho and built their dream home on Fall Creek. The VanGesens are the proud parents of six children and they have six grandchildren.
“April has been the rock for our family, opening our home to foster children, being a supportive law enforcement wife, surviving cancer, and supporting all my passions,” Jon said. “As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, ‘So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.’”
Their lives together are a beautiful reflection of faith, love and service lived out daily.

Congratulations on the first 32…shoot for another 32!!!!
May God Bless you with many more together.
32 years and you’re just gettin warmed up! :a) Tell ya what! After 51 years for us, it’s amazing how GOOD God can make it when we keep walkin HIS path, and not our own! “Love” is easier said than done, but you two are a GREAT example of the “doin”! Keep going – there are many watching – and following! We honor and respect you both DEEPLY! Numbers 6:24-26 – the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace!” Shalom, Reb and the Cowboy<
Congratulations to you two! May God grant you many more happy years together! My wife and celebrated 20 years last November. I think by late in the year 2037 we’ll have finally caught up with you. 🙂
From Proverbs 31:10-13, 19-20, 30-31: “When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls. Her husband, entrusting his heart to her, has an unfailing prize. She brings him good, and not evil, all the days of her life. She obtains wool and flax and makes cloth with skillful hands. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her fingers ply the spindle. She reaches out her hands to the poor, and extends her arms to the needy. Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the LORD IS to be praised. Give her a reward of her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates.”
