In the Spokesman-Review Trapshoot, Bonners Ferry teetered back to 10th place in Division III for Week 7. The top scorers for Week 7 were Ron Campbell with 25, Gene Frederickson with 24, Dustin Myers with 23, and former Claybuster Garrick Patty with 22. Overall, Bonners Ferry’s scores were tied with Davenport’s for 9th place this week.
The women moved into 3rd place in the Spokesman after finishing Week 7 in 2nd in the region. Top scorers were Kristie Campbell, Randi Hibbard, and former Claybuster Kelsey Noble with a 23, and Amanda Myers 22.
The Duke’s Claybusters continued to hold onto the 3rd position in the Spokesman Review League. They again scored 1st in the region for the week. Top scorers for Week 7 included Joe Campbell and Mason Bryant with 25, Trenton Myers with 23, and Judah Roffler with 22.
Final Scores submitted in the 208th annual Spokesman-Review Trapshoot:
- BONNERS FERRY GUN CLUB—Division III (743-800): Ron Campbell 25, Donald Donoho 25, Mason Bryant 22, Dean Nelson 22.
- BONNERS FERRY GUN CLUB—Women (658-800) Melanie Campbell 23, Randi Hibbard 22, Kelsey Noble 21, Kristie Campbell 17, Amanda Myers 17.
- BONNERS FERRY GUN CLUB—Youth (727-800): Joe Campbell 24, Trenton Myers 24, Gage Kunsky 23, Judah Roffler 23.
In Week 7 of the Camas Prairie Leagues, 25 participants braved the snow and cold to join us at the club. The sun reflecting off the fresh snow made it more challenging to see the birds. Ron Campbell and Donald Donoho both got a perfect score of 25/25. The other two scores submitted were Joe Campbell and Trenton Myers, with 24, giving Bonners Ferry a score of 74/75.
Duke’s Clalybusters held onto 3rd place in the Region, gaining on the 2nd place team of St. Maries, but losing four points to the 1st place team, Hermiston. Individual scores submitted for Week 7 were: Trenton Myers and Joe Campbell with 24, Gage Kunsky and Judah Roffler with 23, Randi Hibbard and Mason Bryant with 22, Robert Olson and Milo Slevin with 20, Aaron Michelsen with 19, Zander Moseley with 18, and Erik Aos, Gus Christensen, and Jar Kunsky with 16.
Finally, in the Bonners Ferry Gun Club Handicap, Ron Campbell took A Class with a perfect score of 50 Straight. Gene Frederickson took B class on the countback. Week 7 scores were: Ron Campbell 50, Dean Nelson and Donald Donoho 42, Dennis Smith, Gene Frederickson and Dustin Myers 36, Kristie Campbell 35, Mike Pruitt 34, and Amanda Myers 28.
