Former BF resident, Sarah Inman desperate for transplant

Travis and Sarah Inman

Many of you may remember Travis and Sarah Inman. They called Bonners Ferry their home for several years with Travis working at the border and Sarah working as a registered nurse and raising their young family.

Travis and Sarah along with their children were a significant piece of this community for many years and they need our help.

Sarah has fallen ill and is in desperate need of a liver transplant, in fact, she is now at the top of the list.

The Inman family now resides in Orlando, Florida where Travis works and Sarah is the Intensive Care Unit at Advent Health in Orlando awaiting a compatible liver.

According to the GoFundMe page, On January 22, Sarah’s husband, Travis, came home from work in Sanderson, Texas and found her jaundiced, lethargic, and weak. He rushed her to the ER in Odessa, where she was diagnosed with severe cirrhosis of the liver and told she needed a transplant.

Over the next three weeks, Sarah’s condition worsened, leading to a transfer to UT Southwestern in Fort Worth. There, she became completely unresponsive, and doctors determined she needed to be closer to her support system.

On February 14, Sarah was airlifted to Advent Health in Orlando, where she was moved to the ICU and has remained ever since. At one point, doctors told us she had only days to live without a transplant. We asked for prayers, and thousands of you lifted her up immediately.

The past weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions, with little hope that she would get on the transplant list or survive the surgery. But God performed multiple miracles—Sarah slowly began to improve, was taken off life support (except for dialysis), and her intubation and feeding tubes were removed.

Her spirits are up, and God’s hand has been evident throughout this journey. Just yesterday, Sarah was added to the transplant list, and her condition is so critical that she is now at the very top. The next compatible liver available will be hers.

We are creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Sarah’s family because the medical bills are piling up, and there will be significant expenses associated with her care. The funds raised will help move our mom, George Anne, to Florida to support Caitlin as she cares for Sarah, cover travel expenses for frequent appointments between Rockledge and Orlando, and provide for medical bills and family support during Sarah’s transplant and recovery journey.

We are so grateful for the support and prayers for our family. We have felt them and believe that our Lord heard our cries. We are thankful for His mercy, compassion, and unending love. Each of you who have reached out to check on us and encourage us played a pivotal role in keeping our hope alive and our spirits up. We can never thank you enough!
