Cummings family needs community support

Brian and Cynthia Cummings

The Cummings family have always been givers; the ones who would deliver the meal, donate to the cause, host the dinner, give of their time, their money and themselves. They are friends, family and support to many and they need our help.

Cynthia Cummings, the matriarch of the Cummings family was recently diagnosed with invasive carcinoma … breast cancer.

Even in the midst of cancer treatments, Cynthia has headed up the community lunch, Soup’s On, facilitated schooling for their youngest and supported her husband, Brian as an integral part of Cummings Construction.

Barring any complications, Cynthia plans to return to the Badger volleyball court as Bonners Ferry High School’s head volleyball coach.

According to their daughter Julia from the GoFundMe page, “For three months, my mom has been battling breast cancer with weekly chemo and multiple tests, scans and appointments. Even though they pay for insurance, we all know it doesn’t cover 100%; there’s co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance costs.

Although chemo is coming end, surgery and possibly radiation is in the near future. My mom will also have immunotherapy injections and lab work every three weeks for a year, as well as follow up appointments and scans.

My dad is the sole provider and is self-employed and works diligently to provide; alleviating some of the added, stressful financial burden during this difficult time would be a huge blessing.

My mom is looking forward to getting past all this and, Lord willing, returning to coaching at Bonners Ferry High School.

I know my parents greatly appreciate all those that have already helped. God Bless!”

As many of us know, this all adds up. If you are financially able, you can donate at Fundraiser for Cynthia Cummings by Julia Fess : Help the Cummings Battle Cancer.
