Campground Hosts Needed

Spend your summer in the beautiful forests of north Idaho! The Bonners Ferry Ranger District is seeking summer campground hosts for Snyder Guard Station and Copper Creek Campground. Imagine spending your free time hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, berry picking, trail riding, and engaged in any number of outdoor pursuits in this iconic natural setting. Hosts receive a stipend of $28/day while carrying out light duties throughout the summer.

Snyder Guard Station. April 30 – October 16. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233252 Accommodation includes a rental ranger house, two cabins, kitchen house, and 4 campgrounds with a covered amphitheater, nestled next to the beautiful Moyie River. Snyder is an hour’s drive to Bonners Ferry. Duties include greeting guests, showing them around, documenting their stay, and making them feel at home! Mowing, watering, weeding, and bathroom cleaning. Laundry from the cabins also needs done periodically.

Copper Creek Campground. May 21- mid September. https://www.fs.usda.gov/r01/idahopanhandle/recreation/copper-creek-campground Copper Creek Campground is within walking distance of the Moyie River and 1.5 miles from the Copper Falls Viewpoint Trail. The campground has 16 sites with two vault toilets. The host provides their own lodging (RV or mobile home) at a host site that has power, sewage, and water. Duties include visitor fee compliance, visitor information, bathroom cleaning and restocking. Copper Creek Campground is about an hour from Bonners Ferry.
