The Bonners Ferry High School golf teams kicked off their season with back‑to‑back meets this week, starting Monday at the Red Wolf Golf Course in Clarkston, Washington.

The Boys team came out swinging, finishing 4th out of 12 with a team score of 387. Freshman Patrick Young led the charge with an impressive 82, tying for 2nd place overall. Rounding out the lineup were Gabe Warren (97), Brayden Patton (98), Marvin Michaels (110), and Tyler Cordle (114).

On the girls’ side, individual competitors Elleanor Sheets (121), Sondra Fairchild (128), and Lilly Bremer (140) represented Bonners Ferry High School well on a challenging course.

Fast‑forward to today, March 26, when the teams traveled to Lewiston to take on Bryden Canyon — and the Badgers turned up the heat. The Boys team snagged 2nd place with a sharp 354. Patrick Young fired a 74 to claim 1st place, followed by strong rounds from Gabe Warren (89), Tyler Cordle (94), Marvin Michaels (97), and Zack Homan (113).

Additional boys competing individually were Brayden Patton (98), Easton Scarborough (101), and Kai Aiken (103).

For the girls, Callie Bateman shined with a 97 to take 2nd place, and Nollie Hiatt followed close behind with a 98 for 3rd. Sondra Fairchild rounded out the group with a 130.

“The players did a great job on a long day.” Head Coach Travis Blackmore said.
