The South Boundary Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners is proud to announce the appointment of Mike Vandecoevering as the new Fire Chief.
After careful consideration, the Board made the decision to hire from within the department, recognizing the strength, dedication, and leadership already present among our own ranks.
Chief Vandecoevering has been a committed member of South Boundary Fire for many years, serving in multiple leadership roles and earning the respect of his fellow firefighters and our community. His background includes extensive fire service experience, training, and a strong focus on teamwork, professionalism, and community service.As Chief, Mike is dedicated to continuing the department’s mission of protecting lives and property, strengthening relationships with our community, and supporting the volunteers who make our work possible.
