Boundary County Voter’s Guide: Primary Election 2026

9b.News has sent letters to each state and federal candidate who will appear on the 2026 Boundary County primary ballot as well as local candidates who filed early, requesting a candidate photo and a written biography of up to 1,000 words to inform our readers who they are, why they are running for public office, their qualifications and, if elected, what their constituents can expect of them. We will mail letters to the rest of local candidates once the filing deadline passes at 5 p.m. Friday. March 13. As they come in, we will publish their words, edited only for grammar and clarity, grouped with candidates for the same office to allow comparison so as to enable our readers make a more informed vote.

Tuesday, May 19: Primary Election Day

Monday, April 27: Early voting begins … 5 p.m. Friday, May 8: Absentee ballot application deadline; deadline for preregistration … 5 p.m. Friday, May15: In-person absentee voting ends.
