August 24, 2021

Henry and Verna Yoder, owners of Yoder's Market, announced this morning that they will close its doors by the end of September or once their stock on hand is sold.

"Life brings difficult changes. After taking a year to pray about it and with the extreme challenges of running a business these days, we agreed that we need to slow down and close the doors of Yoder‘s Market," the couple posted this morning on Facebook. "It was a very difficult decision as we will miss our customers.

"The last 11 years we, along with our two daughters, had so much fun serving the community. We have regular customers from Whitefish, Kalispell, Bigfork, Yaak, Spokane and Coeur d’Alene along with many locals.

"Verna's homemade meals and the large deli have been a big draw. We thank you all for your support. You will be missed greatly.

"Starting today we will sell groceries till our shelves are empty. We aim to close the end of September or when sold out. We want to take care of our health as well as spending more time with our family."

Henry and Verna own two other wholesale businesses, C&S Wholesale and Optimal Renewal, which will continue.

On behalf of the community, we extend our thanks to Henry and Verna for their service and contributions, and we wish them well.
