I am running, unopposed, for Boundary County Treasurer! My name is Jennifer Economu and I have been the chief deputy treasurer since January of 2015. Our esteemed treasurer, Ms. Susan Larson, has made the decision to retire at the the end of her term. She has done a wonderful job for the county and is looking forward to retirement.

From North Idaho, I was born in Moscow, Idaho, and my family moved to Naples when I was eight years old. I graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1995 and shortly after married my high school sweetheart, Steven Economu. We have resided in Moyie Springs our entire adult lives and have raised two exceptional boys, Shane and Spencer.

Outside of work, my family enjoys camping, kayaking and being outdoors in beautiful North Idaho. My husband and sons are archery and rifle hunters, fishermen and also novice snowmobilers. As for me, I'd much rather stay in by the cozy warm fire during our colder months.

I joined the workforce straight out of high school and gained a wealth of knowledge and a fierce work ethic with every position I held. I have had the pleasure of working and learning along side our current treasurer, Sue Larson, for the past seven years.

The treasurer's office has been an educational and satisfying experience, I look forward to streamlining a few practices and will strive to continue to provide excellent services to the constituents of Boundary County.
