My name is Lester Pinkerton. I am running for the North Bonners Ferry seat on the Republican Central Committee. I’ve had a long history with the community, having graduated from Mt. Hall School, Bonners Ferry High School, and North Idaho College. My 32-year career with the U.S. Forest Service forestry and law enforcement departments culminated in managing and supervising the Northern Zone – a four state region in the Midwest.

I had the opportunity to be the center director at a Job Corps Center, where I implemented programs designed to improve the lives of at-risk youth. Following retirement, I served two years on the local school board as a way to offer my skillset to develop top-performing education programs.

While my career took me all over the country, the values instilled in me early on by the Bonners Ferry community and my family deeply rooted in the region resulted in decades of personal growth, development and success.

I am now running for this position because I believe in service, and this service would now be directed to a community to which I am so indebted.
