'Annie' coming to BFHS this week

November 8, 2022

By Linus Holman

We have all seen the classic movie "Annie," whether with your children or as one yourself. Now is your chance to relive the memories in a new and unique way. With an impressive set, superb actors and live music, this take on the age-old tale will have you laughing and crying in the same scene. Performances will be held at Becker Auditorium at Bonners Ferry High school at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with a matinee showing at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The slight variations in the script means the story you know will still have you on your toes.

And this brings us to the cast; a healthy mixture of students, adults and animals gives the play depth and reality. Two different actors will be playing Annie: half of the performances by Jane Moellmer, the other half by Zamora Collett, each offering a special take on the character and their own beautiful vocals.

Complimenting the girls is Van Stonehocker as Warbucks, with tear jerking and thought provoking solos. Rounding out the duo with Grace Farrell sweetly portrayed by Chelsea Stonehocker. To contrast the sophisticated mansion dwellers, Mrs. Hannigan is played perfectly by Jacqueline Schneider.

A lively event due to the singing and dancing of nearly every other scene, your whole family will be humming along and dancing in their seats. Under director Kelly Collett, Bonners Ferry High School presents to you Annie, the musical.

Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors, at the door.
