'Joy to the World' tells reason for the season

December 7, 2022

By Linus Holman

True Christmas spirit will be running high this week at the First Baptist Church. Now is your chance to share in the season's spirit at the Joy to the World performance put on by Bonners Ferry's own Talent Team. With dozens of classic Christmas songs and some you haven't heard, the story of Jesus' life and death is delivered to you through song and dance, as well as theater.

Beginning with Mary and going all the way to Jesus' resurrection, the show retells this amazing story in a special way that will grip your attention long after the curtains close. Live music accompanying the variety of vocalists really proves that this team has talent.

A cast with a variety of ages has one thing in common: their enthusiasm.

Thanks to director Nancy Genys truly this show will give "Joy to the World."

Show times will 6 p.m. December 8, 9 and 10 at First Baptist Church, 6711 El Paso Street, Bonners with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, December 10.

There will also be music only performances at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, at the Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash Street, Bonners Ferry, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at Boulder Creek Academy, 378 Emerson Lane, Bonners Ferry.
