Donkey basketball coming to BFHS Wednesday

The Bonners Ferry FFA Chapter is hosting donkey basketball at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 15. A total of six teams will come together and leave it on the court riding donkeys dueling for the title of donkey basketball champions. Come enjoy a night with basketball, donkeys and fun! The Bonners ferry FFA chapter will be outside Safeway selling tickets until 6 p.m. today.

Advance tickets are $9 adults, $7 students grades 7-12 and $5 for students K-6, available from any FFA member or at the high school front desk. Tickets at the door are $10 adults, $8 students grades 7-12 and $6 for students grades K-6.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Boundary County Victim Services.

There will be three match-ups:
  • FFA; Mason Zills, Ethan Cowell, Jasmine Daniels, Sydney Beckel, Cade Jelinek and Kassidy Durette, versus FFA alumni; Julie Smith, Gabby Johnson, Leah Sandelin, Malorie Stippich, Darcy Lammers and Eli Richards.
  • Coaches; Kelly Hinthorn, Danny Swift, Emily Winebark, Shasta Baisden and Cristian Weaner versus Athletes; Charles Henslee, Braylynn Bayer, William Hollabaugh, RJ Lewis, Evelynn Chaney and Dillon Mai.
  • Teachers; Bree Weaner, Lisa Iverson, Val Thompson, Mike Smith, Jaycee Atkins and Jacob Garrison versus Students; Kayla Smith, Jordan Fairchild, Timber Jackson, Dakota Heller, Teigan Banning and Aspen Hill.
