Jim Messina bringing band to Sandpoint

Jim Messina and his band will be performing a one-night-only concert at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint on Sunday, May 21. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, at panida.org.

“The last few months there have been murmurs that Jim Messina might be playing here in Sandpoint and we couldn’t be more excited that his show is coming to life at the Panida,” said Lauren Sanders, the Managing Director for the Panida. “Messina is a man of many stories and has been instrumental in providing the soundtrack to so many of our memories, we are thankful that Too Far North Productions & Nightlife Network Northwest who are also bringing Graham Nash to the Panida on July 7, 2023, has gifted us with yet another unforgettable performance with Jim Messina on May 21, 2023!”

Tickets for the concert start at $39 for adult orchestra seats, $53 for the first ten rows, $79 for one love seat in the balcony (that ticket includes two tickets for two people to sit in one loveseat). Then there are 32 VIP tickets for $149. These VIP ticket holders also get to meet with Jim Messina after the show: "A Conversation with Jim Messina” where he will talk with this group after his concert.

Messina’s musical career spans the decades and includes three groups - Buffalo Springfield, Poco and Loggins & Messina. Messina, was the producer and audio engineer for Buffalo Springfield, as well as a founding member of the group Poco. Then Messina and Loggins hooked up and sold more than 20 million albums and released hits like “Danny Song,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” "House on Pooh Corner” and “Listen to a Country Song.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
