We adults need refresher course in respect

On June 16, I went to my first library board meeting. I want to thank our library board and librarian for the fair and balanced job they do. I was impressed with how they handled a very hostile public meeting. What a rude and disrespectful crowd of adults I witnessed.

When did being disrespectful become the new norm? Shame on all of you. As children, we are taught respect and kindness. As adults we need a refresher course.

We are allowed our differences in opinion. That’s what makes this country so strong. So, let’s peacefully respect each other’s differences and allow our library to service our county in a legal and effective way for all. Please!
