A liar by his own words asking trust |
||
July 8, 2022
By Mike Weland It's the neighborly thing to do, to take a man at his word. To give benefit of the doubt. To trust. It's damned foolish, though, to trust the contentions of a man whose own words, deliberately posted and published, prove him a liar. Self-described Hollywood A-list comedian Owen Benjamin testified plainly at public hearing June 23 that his proposed use on 10-acres on the Moyie River was in no way associated with his earlier commercial plans that concerned his neighbors. A different deal entirely, he said. That was commercial property in Bonner County. Deal fell through. Boundary County has nothing to worry about. Yet on October 21, 2020, in one of his public productions, Owen Benjamin thanked all who donated ... "without you guys I could not have bought the land," and assured his "bears" telling them that there was only one cop in Boundary County. No computers. He didn't know how to pronounce Moyie, but he assured those who donated they would hold camping rights. A "bear" haven, a Caucasian Mecca. Close to Canada. "I did a lot of research on where we want Beartaria," he told his donors. "That river is called the Mugai, Mojai ... I can't remember the name of the river ... sorry ... but you can pretty much drink right out of it." Hear this man in his own words, in 2020. Idiot then, idiot now. And no, I do not feel remiss for saying that. I am grateful for all who see truth rather than embrace this man's lies. Editor's Note: Video below added July 13, 2022. |
