Lies or truth? Which will prevail?

"9B.News. there is no way Joe Biden could possibly get that out of his mouth," Jason Shannon replied. "He can’t get through a five word sentence without screwing it up. He has fallen to Alzheimer’s and his mental health is far to gone."

"Yet he speaks with far more clarity than your boy, Jason," I replied. "Even with a lifelong speech impediment."

"9B.News, you are delusional," Jason said.

"No sir, I'm not delusional," I said. "Have you ever actually listened to Trump?"

"It's like in golf," Trump said as regards gays. "A lot of people - I don't want this to sound trivial - but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive... it's weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can't sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist."

I know a lot of folks think Trump is a straight talker who speaks a language they understand, and you consider that a key reason for voting for him. He's one of us.

I'm not of the same mind.

I would never consider such a blithering idiot understood by myriad mental midgets as presidential material. My stance, I think, is well confirmed by his idiotic and useless four years in office from 2016 to 2020. Twice impeached and whipped soundly in his bid to finish his conquest of our constitution.

And you want to give him four more? Not too bright, Mr. Shannon and fellow MAGA folk.

"I'm intelligent," Trump says. "Some people would say I'm very, very, very intelligent."

Yes, indeed. Some would. And they are idiots. Dumb as stumps.

P.S. Mexico did not pay for the wall Trump didn't build. A little edification for you, Mr. Shannon ... Joe Biden's tenure thus far is far superior in demonstrable accomplishment than that of 45's, despite the many baseless MAGA allegations and assertions alleging otherwise.

Know what Trump and MAGA do well? They convince the gullible and weak minded among us that assertions and allegations are equal to evidence, and convince fools to give a self-professed billionaire their last two dollars that they might protect and defend him from an oppressive liberal onslaught, an attack on his right to free speech. An assault by a weaponized legal system to disrupt his righteous campaign to once again serve himself as president of this great nation, to Make America Great Again by dismantling the DOJ, the FBI and all agencies and officials willing to hold him accountable for his crimes.

Trump and the "conservative" GOP, the Freedom Foundations, the Heritage Foundation and any and all other of your other ill-described "patriot" groups have not contributed a thing so as to form a more perfect union. The modern Republican Party has ascribed to the radical promise of autocracy, of fascism, or stood aside, heads bowed, gutless. Afraid to stand up to extremist stupidity, unwilling to call out obvious and blatant lies.

This is a fight. The radicals have so declared. No logic or reason or common sense will dissuade them. The rational have one slim hope left; the elections process. November 7, 2023, and November 5, 2024. Stand and vote resoundingly against authoritarians, against the MAGA promise of fascism. Shame them that they slink back 'neath their rocks, give in or prepare to fight. Expect the losers to once again baselessly cry foul, to insist they've been cheated, made victims. An election stolen.

Those are the options, and there is by no means any certainty as yet which will prevail, the lies or the truth.
