October 7, 2021

The four sample ballots are out, the deadline for early registration to vote in the November 2 election is 5 p.m. tomorrow, absentee ballots will go in the mail next week and in-person early voting at the Boundary County Courthouse begins Tuesday, October 12.

Early in person voting will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and masks are required, mandated by the Idaho Supreme Court at all state polling places. Those who would like to vote absentee and be mailed a ballot have until 5 p.m. Friday, October 22, to submit their absentee ballot request form, available for printing on the county website, or to be completed online at voteidaho.gov.

Boundary County voters who choose to vote the old fashioned way on election day have from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, to get to their polling site, with those in the Naples precinct voting at Naples Fire Station 1, 20 Stagecoach Road, Naples, those in the Bonners Ferry/Kootenai, North Bonners Ferry and Valley View precincts voting at the Fairgrounds Memorial Hall, Moyie precinct voters cast their ballots at Moyie Springs City Hall, 3331 Roosevelt Road, Moyie Springs, and those in the Copeland precinct will vote at Mt. Hall Elementary, 1275 Idaho 1.

The only ballot all county voters will decide is the Boundary County Ambulance Service District request for a tax levy increase.

Voters within the City of Bonners Ferry will have three choices to fill two seats on the city council, with Ron Smith, Brion Poston and Robert Lavala running. Voters living within the boundaries of School District 101 Zone 2 will choose between incumbent Susan Weed and challengers Michael J. Underhill and Mary Fiorvanti, and electors in BCSD 101 Zone 5 will choose incumbent Teresa L. Rae or challenger David Wilson.
