Election November 2, 2021

 
Early voting is open now and voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, November 2. Here are links to the 9B News articles on the election. Any candidates running in Boundary County not included are encouraged to send a release, with photo, to mike@9B.news. Boundary County voters will be asked to decide who will fill two seats on the School District 101 Board of Trustees, two on the Bonners Ferry City Council and whether or not to pass a proposed increase for the county ambulance service district.

Teresa Rae seeks second term on school board: I would like to introduce myself, for those of you who don’t know me. My name is Teresa Rae and I am running for reelection for Boundary County School District 101, Zone 5, Naples. I have been a board member for the past four years and have been attending board meetings since late 2014 as a volunteer facilities planner for our district.

Serving on the school board a sound investment in community: My name is Susan Weed and I am running for reelection for Boundary County School District 101 School Board Trustee - Zone 2, Moyie Springs. I have been a school board member for the past four years.

Early voting starts next week for November 2 election: The four sample ballots are out, the deadline for early registration to vote in the November 2 election is 5 p.m. tomorrow, absentee ballots will go in the mail next week and in-person early voting at the Boundary County Courthouse begins Tuesday, October 12.

Poston running to serve city he knows and believes in: Lifelong Boundary County resident Brion Poston is one of three candidates running for two seats on the Bonners Ferry City Council in the November 2 election. His choice to run, he said, is not politically motivated, but because he believes in our community.

Lavala running to serve his community: My name is Robert Lavala and I am running for City Council in Bonners Ferry this November 2. I am writing this article myself, considering that I know myself better than anyone other than my amazing wife. I was born and raised in a small suburb of Boise named Garden City.
