High winds expected across North Idaho Monday

November 13, 2021

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a high wind watch in effect Monday afternoon and evening, with wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour expected. Sustained southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour are forecast, capable of downing trees and power lines and making travel difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Residents in the northern Panhandle, the Idaho Palouse and the central Panhandle mountains are advised to secure anything that might be blown around and to be prepared for power outages.
