Family needs community help after sudden death of Badger Shipping owner |
||
November 16, 2021
Neil fell suddenly ill November 9 and was taken to Boundary Community Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a perforated bowel. He was air lifted for emergency surgery at Bonner General Hospital, Sandpoint, where doctors found that Neil had liver and kidney failure, along with pancreatitis. He underwent surgery and was placed in ICU, but sent home by ambulance to be put on hospice so he could die at home with those he loved. The family not only suffered the grief of a beloved husband and father departing this life, but a loss of income from Badger Shipping as well as the unexpected large medical and funeral expenses. The family is asking their community and those who loved Neil for financial help or whatever small donation they can. A Go Fund Me account has been established for online donations, and those who'd rather give directly to the family can drop off checks at the 9B News office, 6931 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, or mail them to 9B News, c/o Mulford Fund, P.O. Box 1625, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805. |
