McGeachin holds 1776 Pledge event

December 1, 2021

Idaho Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin gathered together over 125 statewide candidates, lawmakers, city officials, school board members and patriot citizens to the Powderhause Brewery in Garden City, Idaho.

Powderhause Brewery is a family-owned business that suffered under the pandemic lockdowns of the Little administration. A veteran of the United States Air Force and the Idaho Air Guard, the Schmidt patriarch was anxious to give back to the lieutenant governor for her unwavering support of small business.

McGeachin has been outspoken in opposing lockdowns and mandatory vaccines. A special thank you also to Garden City Mayor John Evans for his support to small business during this time.

The event was held to sign the 1776 Pledge, which supports the Trump Presidential 1776 Advisory Report in education.

With over 50 signed pledges from across the state, former president Donald Trump made a surprise video appearance to personally thank everyone for being advocates of education in Idaho.

The event raised $1,300 to benefit the Boise Toys for Tots program.
