GoFundMe account set up for Wiley family

December 1, 2021

In the wake of her brother's death after he was hit by a train in Bonners Ferry November 26, Emy Vigil has established a GoFundMe account to help his widow, Cheyenne, their son, Elijah, 2, and the baby that's on the way. A fund for the Wiley family has also been established at Columbia Bank, and donations can be made at any branch.

"David loved his family deeply," Emy wrote. "He was someone that everyone could relate to and connect with. His genuine spirit and humor made all his associates feel cared for. His laughter was infectious and brought warmth to those who heard it."

It is her hope that the community's support will help alleviate the sudden financial burden faced by the family, as well as bring a measure of comfort.

"Please consider working out a way to financially rally around this deserving woman and help stabilize her in this most difficult time," Emy wrote. "We so appreciate all the thoughts and condolences and prayers and everything good and loving sent our way. We appreciate your consideration and your offerings to this cause."
