||
December 9, 2021
The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter storm watch for heavy snow Friday night through early Sunday over North Idaho, with eight inches possible in the valleys, pushed by winds gusting as high as 40 miles per hour. Five to eight inches of fresh snow is forecast for the valleys with nearly two feet possible at higher elevations. Those who can avoid or delay travel are advised to do so; those who have to travel are advised to pack food, water, blankets, warm clothing, shovels and other gear helpful in an emergency, to give yourself extra time to reach your destination and to call ahead to your destination to let them know you're on your way, the route you are taking and your expected time of arrival. |
