Winter storm watch issued for Kootenai/Cabinet

The National Weather Service, Missoula, has issued a winter storm watch for blizzard conditions over northwest Montana Friday night through Saturday night. Heavy snow and high winds are expected to make travel difficult or impossible.

Lower elevations could see from four to eight inches of new snow with up to 19 inches falling at high elevations, pushed by winds gusting up to 45 miles-per-hour.
