Boundary County Snow Line open

December 20, 2021

By Mike Weland

With the recent heavy snow, many in or community are in need of the help of neighbors to get out from under it, so 9B.News is reviving the Boundary County Snow Line so as to help those in need; the elderly, the disabled, the ill, people who can't afford paying, help from neighbors who care.

If you are in need of help, message me on Facebook, email or call (208) 295-1016 and I'll get word out on the 9B website and Facebook page.
10:10 a.m. Friday, January 14: Carrie hasn't been out for over a week as the snow came off the roof and blocked both front and back door, but she needs to get to town today! She lives on Oak Street in Bonners Ferry. If you can help her, call 1-(760) 877-2873.
Helped: Mr. and Mrs. Hollenbeck have received help getting snow off their deck roof. THANK YOU!
3:35 p.m. Friday, January 7: Suzie is 75 years old and still in need of help clearing her roof and deck. She lives above the hospital on Chippewa Street. If you can help her, please call (208) 267-7500.
1:09 p.m. Friday, January 7: Becky's parents still need help digging out and clearing the roof as both are elderly and her dad is sick with COVID. They live on Mohawk Street in Bonners Ferry. If you can help them, please call (208) 597-1152.
Helped! Judy has neighbors helping clearing her roof, deck and walkway at her home on Solomon Street! THANK YOU!
12:09 p.m. Friday, January 7: Dick lives on lower Oak Street in Bonners Ferry, and the plows have buried him in. He's been working at clearing a path through the berm, but needs help. If you can help, call him at (509) 582-9807.
1:51 p.m. Thursday, January 6: Stephanie is disabled and needs help digging out, to include getting snow off her roof. She lives on Oak Street in Bonners Ferry. If you're able to help, call (719) 850-8749.
Helped! Mike has been plowed clear and he's off to restock the pantry! THANK YOU!
Helped! A very nice family stopped by and cleared Carrie's deck and did the walk and got her car dug out as well! THANK YOU! Carrie is an elderly woman who lives on Oak Street in Bonners Ferry, and she appreciates the help she's received, but her deck is creaking under the weight of snow and worries it might collapse down into her neighbor's yard.
11:543 a.m. Tuesday, January 4: Bob, an elderly Moyie Springs man who lives in a mobile home next door to North Idaho Energy Logs on Roosevelt Road, is scheduled for surgery Thursday, January 6, and he is unable to clear the way for his transportation to pick him up. With more heavy snow on the way, getting help soon is urgent. If you can help him, call (208) 217-0942.
