Cold, more snow expected Sunday

The National Weather Service, Missoula, has issued a winter weather advisory for the Kootenai/Cabinet Region for more snow and frigid temperatures from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

From two to five inches of new snow is expected. The temperature is expected to drop into the single digits. With northeast winds of about 15 miles per hour, wind chill will make it feel like 10 to 20 degrees below zero.

Cold temperatures will persist through New Years Day, with daytime highs in the single digits to low teens and overnight lows dipping below zero.
