Sagle man dies at scene of Highway 95 crash |

Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred at about 9:54 a.m. today in Bonner County on Highway 95 at Dufort Road near Sagle that claimed the life of a Sagle man. According to investigators, the 84-year-old was travelling east in a John Deere utility vehicle, attempting to cross the highway from Dufort Road to East Dufort Road when it was hit on the passenger side by a northbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 70-year-old man from Kalispell. The driver of the Silverado was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The driver of the John Deere was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the John Deere utility vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Idaho State Police along with the Bonner County Coroner have made next of kin notification. The intersection of US-95 and Dufort Rd was partially blocked for approximately three hours. |
