Blustery winds, heavy snow in store

January 1, 2022

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a two-part weather alert with an advisory for localized blowing and drifting snow over night tonight and a winter storm watch for heavy snow, in effect to 7 p.m. Monday.

Increasingly gusty south winds tonight and into Monday could cause drifting snow overnight tonight and into Monday, particularly across the Palouse, Camas Prairie and in the Pomeroy area, making travel difficult.

Beginning Sunday evening, heavy snow is possible, with five to 10-inchees possible in the valleys and up to two-feet in the mountains.
