Storm watch upgraded to winter storm warning

The winter storm warning issued yesterday by the National Weather Service, Spokane, has been upgraded to a winter storm warning, in effect from 9 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Friday, with four to eight inches expected in the valleys of North Idaho and northeastern Washington to a foot near the mountains.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 511.
