Public hearings on commissioners' agenda

Boundary County Commissioners will hold two public hearings on Tuesday to take public comment on land use applications by Glenn and Jennifer Leavitt involving property on Songbird Lane and Warren and Tamara Patzer on property on Blume Hill Road.

Commissioner will take up the Leavitt request, application 22-0015, to establish a primitive short plat subdivision at 1:30 p.m. They are seeking to divide 10.08-acre parcel RP63N01E233612A, located at 267 Songbird Lane, into two parcels each 5.04 acres in size. The property is zoned rural residential, which allows a minimum five-acre parcel size for residential development.

At 2 p.m., commissioners will accept public comment on application 22-0017 seeking to amend the Boundary County comprehensive plan and zoning maps to rezone 3.65-acre parcel RP62N02E203149A, located at 1177 Blume Hill Road, from rural residential to suburban to allow for a future land division. Suburban zoning allows a one-acre residential density.
