Mt. Hall Elementary welcomes January

January 20, 2022

By Principal Kylee Guthrie

Mrs. Peggy Meyers working on Operation Memory Lane.
Mt. Hall has been a great place to be since getting back from Christmas break. We're enjoying the snow on our playground and being back together. Students have been working really hard on their benchmark assessments so that teachers can see the academic growth that has happened so far this year. It's amazing to see what our students are doing!

It’s been a busy month for us getting back on track for the remainder of the school year.

Students have really enjoyed getting to see their friends again - watching them sled together and make massive snowballs on the playground is a blast! Mr. Dan, our custodian, also put targets up on the playground for students to throw snowballs at so that they aren’t tempted to throw them at each other.

One project that we’re super excited about is in our entry way. Our longtime volunteer Mrs. Peggy Meyers is going through old Mt. Hall albums and will be adorning our entry way with memories from the past! We have so many treasures and albums that we can’t wait for the community to see and enjoy.

This is a work in progress, but we will post more about it as this project progresses.

This month Mt. Hall was able to recognize our Classified Employee of the Month, Ms. Maria Martinez. Everyone who comes to Mt. Hall knows that Mrs. Martinez runs the show and that she’s such a friendly face to all who visit us up here. We are so grateful for her! Look for a full write up on the BCSD Facebook page soon. https://www.facebook.com/bcsd101.district

Looking ahead to spring, the Idaho Standardized Achievement Test (ISAT) window will be opening. If any community members are interested in proctoring this exam, please contact our Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Andrea Fuentes, at the District Office, (208) 267-3146.

As always, we’re incredibly thankful for our students, staff, families, and community members that are so willing to be a part of our school. Stay safe and healthy, Boundary County!
