Job Service sets up local office locations

April 13, 2022

Idahoans living in remote, rural areas of Idaho’s five most northern counties can now access state employment services in seven mobile office locations. All mobile Labor locations offer walk-in hours and appointments staffed with a Department of Labor workforce consultant who can help with writing resumes, filling out job applications, preparing for an interview, accessing job training resources, filing for unemployment insurance benefits and other services.

Services are also available for businesses including help with listing jobs, recruiting employees, organizing hiring events, hosting employer seminars and access to job training programs.

“Our mobile office model is for Idaho citizens without a Labor office in their community,” explains Department of Labor Director Jani Revier. “Our partnerships with local libraries, community centers, city halls and other organizations allow us to deliver face-to-face services to rural Idahoans. Our footprint is larger now than ever before.”

Workforce consultant Marzena Homa staffs the mobile locations in Bonners Ferry, Moyie Springs, Naples and Priest River. Homa has been with the department since the fall of 2020.

Idahoans throughout the state can get help finding a new job, upgrading their skills and increasing their earning potential in more than 50 mobile locations.

The mobile offices in Boundary County are in South Boundary Fire Station #1. 20 Schoolhouse Road, Naples, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month, the Bonners Ferry Visitor's Center, 6373 Bonner Street, Bonners Ferry, from 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and 8:30 a.m. to noon each Tuesday and Friday, and in the Moyie Springs City Hall, 3331 Roosevelt Road, Moyie Springs, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month.

To make an appointment at any of the Boundary County sites, call (208) 457-8789 ext. 3314 or email BonnersFerryMail@labor.idaho.gov.
