Hospital CEO to bid Bonners Ferry farewell |
||
May 2, 2022
With his family having left the community a few months ago to be closer to home and family to help one of their children facing medical issues, Boundary Community Hospital CEO Preston Becker on April 25 submitted his resignation, saying he cannot be apart from them but promising to stay on to help through the process of bringing a new CEO on board. "BCH is an amazing community hospital organization and you should all be proud of the effort you put in every day caring for our community," he wrote the board and staff in announcing his decision. "I have no concerns in the ability of you all to continue the great work you've been doing. Over the past three years, much has changed, and that change has helped us all improve in some way. It has also helped BCH continue down the path to growth and service that the community needs. There are wonderful plans to continue that growth and development and our leaders have a solid handle on operations going forward. "I want to thank you all for a memorable three years, I feel very confident and positive about the future of healthcare in Boundary County because of you all working together. Thank you for showing me that and accepting me as you friend, coach and leader!" On behalf of the hospital board, BCH staff and the Boundary County community, our thanks to Preston for his service, smile and good spirits, and our sincere hope that the travails your family is facing resolve in the best way possible.
